Incompetence and overcharging. Avoid!

We've been with Bonitas for a while now and decided to upgrade to their Bon Cap scheme as we've been relatively happy until now. We started the process last year, they sent us a form to fill in, we submitted it and were told our new coverage would start beginning of this month, great. Deduction goes off and they've taken R7500, more than double what we were expecting.

I spend all day trying to get in touch with them, finally get through to someone only to be told we didn't fill in the income verification form so naturally they placed us on the highest income bracket, because why wouldn't they. I've gone back through all my emails and we WERE NOT SENT THE FORM! I have since submitted it but am still waiting to get my money back as it takes almost three days to get a reply to an email.

To add salt to the wound, my wife had to go get x-rays today which according to the PDF should be covered, especially since I've apparently paid them R7500. It was rejected flat out, so now we have to pay out of pocket for x-rays with money we don't have because Bonitas is too *********** to make sure clients have all the required forms.

I cannot state how furious I am with the blatent lack of care, do yourself a favour and go to literally any other medical aid
