Inaccurate and slow to respond to issues

I phoned Bonitas to enquire while back before we added my wife as a benificiery to my Bonitas medical aid. The call was to enquire about the medication she is currently using.

I was informed by the lady that her medication would be paid for by Bonitas. Her medication will be covered under chronic medication and the one not covered by chronic medication would be paid for by the Day to day benefit. The lady even refered me to the website where it states that the medicine will be part of the day to day benifit. Because of this we decided to add her as a benificiery on my Bonitas medical aid.

Some issues were experienced while trying to add her as a benificiery, but after a month and a half the process was completed.

When we went to collect her medication from Dischem we were informed that Bonitas will not pay for some of the medication and we have to pay cash for it. Why would the Bonitas employee tell me that the medication is covered for by the day to day benefit but as soon as we claim we have to pay for this?

I spoke to someone on the Bonitas app and they told me that I do not have a savings account on my plan. Something that I wasn’t even informed about… We moved my wife to bonitas based on the information that was given to us that her medication will be paid for by the medical aid. At her previous medical aid the medication was paid for without issues. Now we have to pay cash for this.

Now that I am looking for answers and/or a possible solution to this problem no one is willing or "AUTHORISED" to assist in this issue. I am currently sending emails on a daily basis but if I am lucky I might get a reply after follow up emails.

I would like to know why they can give false information to get business, but once you claim you are stuck with the bills. If they told me from the start that the medication that I enquired about will be a scheme exclusion, then I would have never added my wife as a benificiery on my policy.

And again this looks like where communication from Bonitas ends. The problem is still not resolved. This was wat looks like the first and last communication that was received from Bonitas. What is going on?

At this stage it looks like Bonitas is first in line when it comes to taking our money, but is it comes to delivering a service, they are the last to respond.... That is if they respond...
