Impossible to obtain specialist authorisations for patients.
45 minutes and 9 transfers later and I cannot get an authorisation number for a referral for my patient. I am giving up, I have other patients to attend to, this patient will just have to pay full rates for the specialist as their medical aid is obstructive, unhelpful, and makes compliance with the rules impossible.
