Imposition of a GWP for a baby born into the Scheme and registered within a month from DOB

I recently registered a newborn of one of my dependants and was shocked by the imposition of a 3 months General waiting period for the newborn on the basis that she is considered to be a third generation dependant. I understand and accept that a 3 months GWP is appropriate if I register a child who was not born into the Scheme but I find it unacceptable that such a waiting period is imposed for a child who is born to a beneficiary of the the Scheme and registered within a month from the date of birth. I would like Bonitas to urgently review this matter and provide their official response as I will be referring this matter to the Council for Medical Schemes to investigate if this exclusion is aligned to the medical Scheme’s Act.
