I wish I had picked another medical aid, Bonitas has the worst customer service!

<p>I am at a point where I have suffered from so mych anxiety from dealigng with Bonitas medical aid scheme. I joined the scheme around September 2016. Shortly thereafter I fell pregnant and have since given birth to my son 6 weeks ago. Every single claim has resulted in me not getting proper feedback and customer service from the call centre. Claims have taken between weeks and 4 months for consultants to get back to me. The staff are rude and unhelpful. I was given the wrong information multiple times by the call centre consultants which resulted in catastrophic events while preparing for the birth of my son. I have logged so many complaints with them yet still i continue to receive the most disgusting service from staff and claims department. The staff are so lazy that they wouldnt even let me chanhe the due date for my son something as simple as receiving the baby bag has not even been done my son is now 6 weeks old and i am still waiting for delivery of the bag and for the consultant to call me regarding delivery. I find i must call them every week or so because they say someone will call me back and no one ever does. My husband and I have spent so many calls and emails fighting with them to get information and claims processed. Dealing with Bonitas has caused me such stress and anxiety that I am now ready to consider cancelling my menbership at year end and will not recommend them to anyone based on customer service and claims process. The scheme offers good benefits but to actually get to experince them is something i have not had the pleasure of having. </p>
