How long does it take!!!!!

I am at present undergoing chemoo for breast cancer and am registered as an oncology patient. I am extremely disappointed that it takes up to 6 days to authorise the next step in my treatment. I desperately need to have a port fitted as my veins have collapsed . If I have to wait any longer I have to delay my next chemo session. Surely all possible eventuality is covered in the allocated funds and a patient doesn't have to stress and call numerous times to get authorisation for a normal procedure which falls in line with ongoing cancer treatment. It is not as if I'm asking for something unusual or even cosmetic. I just want to get better. Please if you wont help me then take note that this doesn't hamper someone else's journey to recovery.
