Hospital barred !

<p>Today I received notification that Bonitas will no longer cover treatment at Flora Clinic unless a 30% co-payment is paid. My Oncology specialist works at Mayo Clinic and has a ward in Flora Clinic. This doctor has looked after me for 6 years through some torrid times and knows my file inside and out. Am I now supposed to look for another specialist contracted to Netcare? The whole situation is crazy...why has this happened and in what way can this possibly be beneficial to the patient? We are pawns in a cost saving exercise which has the CMA approval! I called the call centre to ask for an explanation and for a referral to another specialist. After being put in hold to Oncology for 13 minutes, I was disconnected. And for this service, we pay an arm and a leg. Disgusting.</p>
