Highly Disappointed thinking of switching medical aids

Is there really a 25% co-payment on Basic Dentistry for 2025? Could you please clarify Bonitas's reasoning for raising membership fees while simultaneously reducing essential benefits for members? In 2025, we will be required to pay a full 25% out of pocket for a basic annual dental checkup. How does this encourage members to keep up with their recommended two yearly checkups? Has Bonitas provided evidence suggesting that members no longer need to see the dentist annually? It would have been more reasonable to offer one fully paid visit and a co-payment for the second, rather than eliminating benefits all at once!

Now, I wonder what benefit may be next for 2026. Will we still have access to optometry every two years, or is a 25% co-payment also in the works for that? Could GP consultations be next on the chopping block?

I urge Bonitas to consider the needs of its members when implementing changes that seem to serve only the company's profits. Along with the yearly increases I’m already facing. This is disheartening, especially since my fiance and i are accustomed to at least one dental checkup per year, which has now been taken away. I am deeply disappointed and still in disbelief and now thinking of changing medical aids after many year with Bonitas
