Extremely bad payment control

Payments has been made and confirmation has been received that the specific increased payment was received. They still keep on telling me that payment is still outstanding even though they acknowledge that payment has been received. According to them the outstanding balance differs from the new increased amount that I was suppose to pay. This is not the first time that we had to struggle to get them to correctly allocate payments.
