Emergency service

I am very upset with Bonitas. In August 2017 my daughter had a very high fever and we rushed her to the hospital in the middle of the night to stabilize her and spend approximately 3 hours there thereafter she was released to go home. To my surprise I received a statement from Life with regards to the full hospital bill being outstanding because Bonitas didn't want to pay. I couldn't believe my eyes as I am on one of the best plans Premium, surely I am fully covered for emergency or casualty situations? I put in an inquiry and was told that I need an authorization number for an emergency, I was never ever told about this and when I inquired to Life why they put in the statement Authorization Number: 99, the lady explained that is what they put in because no authorization is required for an emergency, only if the patient is admitted to hospital! Bonitas loves to take your money but always has endless excuses when they have to pay out! Don't even think of becoming a member, False advertising and empty promises. I will be disputing this, as this is unfair practise!
