Emergency Rooms falls under Day-to-day - **** Story!!!!

So, i have been rushed to casualty by my husband on the 13th of January 2018, a Saturday afternoon for the fear of Listeria as it is currently doing its rounds. We got there, blood was drawn etc etc. Last week i received my monthly statement, R1930.81 was used from my R4230 Day to day benefits. If i knew it is coming from my day to day, i would rather have died!!!! Because really now, what do you have medical aid for? Everything comes out of this day to day. I have a 5 month old and a 2 year old and would rather keep this for them as it is pediatricians and dentist and all thee above that comes out of that fund. I really ONLY go to Doctor if necessary and unfortunately this was on a Saturday and the 1st thing a person think is, rush to the Emergency room. I will be to afraid to take my kids to the emergency rooms in future if it should fall within the night and over weekends, for fear of day to day being used up. I have a back problem and have been postponing it for how long because what if something real might happen, because my back is the last of my worries as my medical aid is actually for my kids. I am really soooooo dissaponted in Bonitas. I phoned Bonitas to query this, and they said only if you get admitted in Hospital it comes from your Hospital plan. This is such a **** setup.
