Don’t go with Bonitas (www.denis.co.za / www.ppn.co.za)
They don’t deserve 1 star.
Our yearly payment for 2022 was R126000 (R10500 per month) We went for 2 pairs of glasses December 2022 - total (after bringing a used pair of frames)…R14k+ Bonitas pays R1600. They said our fund was depleted.
PreApp**** for chronic this year, paying +- R120 more than we used to monthly.
Our yearly payment for 2023 is R137000.
So I have to get pre-authorisation for dentures from denis, keep in mind, you are only "ALLOWED" every 4 years to get it. After going back and forth, back and forth and guess what, back and forth because every time there is more information they couldn’t ask the first time, they pre-authorised. So eventually they pre-authorised about R2900 for 2 codes of about 10 codes which totals an amount of R9000+.
Submitted the paid invoice claim on their pre-authorisation and guess what, they want more codes which for some convenient reason they didn’t inform me of when requesting the pre-authorisation. Now they are refusing to pay about R1200 before I can supply more codes. I phoned, no help. Fatima just read the terms to me while I was crying.
The practices refuse to deal with them because they are finding excuses not to pay, this is my experience from about 20 years ago to date.
I don’t know about codes!
Why after paying so much money yearly, do I have do so much admin?!!

Meanwhile the member payment is almost ALWAYS more than you provide.

Really don’t know why we are paying R137k a year when we are hardly using you.
Too scared to go for a mammogram since we joined Bonitas 2022, (and have reason to do it) because we would probably have to pay for it ourselves.
You do not care for "the people you are supposed to take care of"! It’s all about the money.
You just sit there and lay down YOUR rules instead of caring.
