Don't entrust your health to Bonitas

I have become a member of Bonitas due to a change in employment while I have been on Discovery for the previous 15 years, I wish I would have never changed.

Bonitas caused a gap of membership due to their internal broken processes and conveniently reject the payment of my emergency surgery after an accident. Despite having paid full membership for that month the accident happened and numerous phone calls to their hotline, they refuse payment because they suspended my account for NO REASON and NO COMMUNICATION to the main member. So in fact Bonitas will take your money for the month but are not honouring their obligations. They claim to have sent email yet no email was ever received from them. Too easy to claim. An absolute sham and disgrace of a medical aid that members of the public rely on for cases of emergency. Thank you Bonitas for absolutely nothing and my medical bills of more than R50.000.
