Don't apply to Bonitas

Unfortunately I can't rate them 0 stars, This was an excellent medical aid before Momentum took over. Last year my daughter and I were both admitted into hospital on separate occasions. I never received a bill afterwards due to shortfall. Then momentum came!

I gave birth to my son in July, now I'm receiving bills for everything, gynaecologist, paediatrician, pathology, neo-natal ICU and the maternity ward due to shortfalls. I have to pay almost R30 000 in medical bills due to shortfalls.

Not to mention that I registered for the baby bag and never received it. when you phone Bonitas with queries you are constantly on hold, I spent over R200 in airtime to phone them so that they could correct their mistakes on my account, according to them we had missed a monthly premium. I phoned just to be put on hold the entire time. I emailed every email I could find on the internet for Bonitas as well as Momentum Head Office and I had absolute ZERO service. it took them nearly a week to get back to me to admit their fault and set it right.

Why am I paying almost R5000 a month . I'd much rather put that money into a savings account and pay everything out of pocket like I am currently doing anyway.
