DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM BONITAS MEDICAL AID

On the 1st of July 2019 I called Bonitas Medical Fund to enquirer about their medical aid scheme, as my wife was with Discovery Medical Aid, of which she is currently 4 months pregnant. I spoke to the consultant by the name of Bongiwe and asked her what are the conditions if my wife move from Discovery to Bonitas which I am currently the main member, Bongiwe then advised that according to their underwriting requirements there wont be any issue, my wife will be still covered with her pregnancy condition. I later then decided to move my wife to Bonitas with the assurance from Bongiwe that she will be covered with her condition. To my surprise, I received a confirmation letter from the underwriting dept that my wife would not be covered due to the scheme has imposed 12 months condition specific waiting periods on pregnancy for Miss SA Hlophe (my wife) which I failed to understand why Bongiwe misled and provided me with wrong information , as my wife wouldn't have made a decision to move from Discovery where she was fully covered. I truly believe that TCF (Treating Customer Fairly) regulation was not followed and I was misled to buy the product which doesn't benefit my pregnant wife ! This is a disgusting service since I have been a member of Bonitas for almost three years !!!!
