Disappointing Service from Bonitas.

I have never been frustrated like I am with this medical aid. The substandard you get from their clueless call center agents is appalling. On average you hold for about 30 minutes online because the agent has to consult before he gives you an answer, an answer that by the way he himself does not know what it means. Why do we pay so much and get such poor service ? It is precicely because of this that I decided to leave the medical aid. First after having gone through the troubles on cancellation and complying with their processesses they continued deducting premiums from my salary this is despite them having sending me letter to confirm the cancellation of my medical aid. Now getting a refund from them is a mission because they cannot get their accounting right. I had a balance on my saving at termination, they debited a full premium for a month after cancellation and they still claim I owe them. When I question how is that possible, I'm told they are investigating and will get back to me which they never do. The frustrating thing is that you can't even talk to their Finance people because they apparently don't take call and you need to talk to the useless call centre agent. The last straw was when I waited for 45 minutes on call while the call centre was still further consulting with finance. I ended up hanging up and they didn't bother getting back to me.

As such I have resorted to contacting the office of the ombudsman just to get this simple matter resolved. Disapopointing to say the least. I will never ever encourage any one to join this medical aid.
