Disappointed

Bonitas used to be one of, if not the best medical aid to belong to, but seems like i made a mistake to put my mother on one of their plans now.

Giving my mother a late joiners penalty even though she has been on a medical aid for 20+years and then taking MONTHS to sort it out while still expecting payment.

She missed one payment because of the fact that the late joiners penalty made it impossible for her to afford the premium and now we have no help from their side to rectify this situation.

After many emails and calls i was just told that even though it was a mistake on their side (late joiners penalty) they will not reactivate the medical aid until it is sorted on their side (after we paid a full months premium and requested a payment arrangement for the 1 missed premium that was due to their mistake).

My mother has chronic conditions for which she needs medications which she has been unable to get for 2 months now because of this.

I am very disappointed in Bonitas
