Chronic medication ****... Dont be fooled!

Wow, Bonitas... I have no words!!! If you have mental health issues and need chronic medication, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH BONITAS!!! Yes, they cover up to 60 chronic illnesses, but don't be fooled. I have medication resistant depression, Bipolar and anxiety and it has been a battle to find a combination of medication that actually helps with my MRD. But due to the fact that it is not in "the basket" for my condition, they refuse to cover it even after asking for motivations from my doctor. So get this, they refuse to pay for the medication that is actually making me better!!! They would rather pay for hospitalizations every year you hit a breakdown!!! This is where the new genius idea of sub categories on your day-to-day/acute medication comes in. Because my medication is not covered on chronic, it has to come off my day-to-day benefits. How surprised was I when I saw my chronic meds claims being rejected from day-to-day but I still had R6000 available for acute meds... Only to be told that it is sub-categorised into radiology and pathology. Yayyyy, I have cover for things I don't need but my chronic medication that I need every month I can no longer get because of this. Having to pay R9000 a month for medical aid and still pay cash (R1500) for chronic meds,PLUS whatever accute meds you need throughout the month is pathetic!!! You already live from hand-to-mouth, deal with mental health issues PLUS this **** of a medical aid. SIES Bonitas... I'll definitely be looking for another medical aid ASAP. DO NOT CALL ME!!! I DON'T HAVE THE MENTAL CAPACITY TO HAVE THIS DISCUSSION TELEPHONICALLY.
