CHRONIC MEDICATION
Chronic medication approvals are non-existent. They have so many conditions that you can forget to get medication approved on chronic.
We have been with them since December 1, 2025. I app**** in December for chronic medication, it is the 5th of February 2026, and it still hasn't been sorted. They are rejecting my cholesterol pills, which I have been taking for more than a year. But because my blood tests done in January 2026 show that my cholesterol is normal, they won't approve it. As far as I know, that is why I am taking the cholesterol pills—to lower my cholesterol. So, do I have to stop taking the pills to show them that my cholesterol is high to get it approved? My menopause medication is still in approval even after it has been escalated twice.
My husband's prostate pills that he takes for more than a year now are being rejected because according to them, it is not that important enough for him to take them.
So, at the end of the day, you pay incredible high monthly premiums, everything is charged on day to day, and when that is depleted, then it comes out of your pocket because, for some reason, they don’t want to put it on chronic.
I'm disappointed, Bonitas is definitely not there for its members and the older you get, the worse it gets. I really regret that I've switched over to them.
