Cashing in on Covid.

I cancelled my medical aid with Bonitas as I was emigrating. Due to Covid, all flights from SA were cancelled on the morning we were to fly out. Because of the uncer*****y of length of travel ban, I reinstated my medical aid with Bonitas. When the travel ban was lifted and new tickets purchased, I cancelled my medical aid. Big shock, they require 30 days notice. This is fine for someone remaining in the country because they are covered during those 30 days. They would not cover me for those 30 days as I was not in the country, nor would their 3rd party travel insurers cover me. This is blatant theft as I have paid an extra month of premiumsot cheap, for absolutely no benefit. Every other industry made attempts to accomodate people due to the uncertain times. Bonoitas cashed in on misfortune.
