Bonitas want me to pay what I did not sign for.

OK today I send my cancelation documents for the medical aid to be canceled. I understood that it takes 30 days notice to cancel it. That's why I left my monthly premium in my account. To my surprise bonitas wanted to debit 2456. I literally joined in June. I have left enough money for my premium which is R1116. The emails said that the January premium will be the highest which is supposed to run in Jan. But I canceled. Now they want me to pay a premium that I did not sign for.
