Bonitas Service Levels Have Become Extremely Concerning

I recently received a disturbing communication from Credit Control stating that I am R2,700.00 in arrears. This is incorrect. I am not in arrears, yet I am now having to spend time investigating and resolving an issue that should never have occurred in the first place. This raises a very serious question: How does a medical aid member suddenly receive an arrears notice for an amount that is not actually outstanding? Medical aid is not an optional luxury. Members pay substantial monthly contributions and expect the administration of their accounts to be accurate and dependable. What is particularly disappointing is that Bonitas previously provided a service level that gave me confidence in remaining with the scheme. Since the change in administration, my experience has been very different. I am posting this on HelloPeter not simply to complain, but to make current and prospective Bonitas members aware of my experience. I believe consumers should carefully consider their options and compare alternative medical aid providers before making a long-term commitment.
