Bonitas rejects claims that others approve

My child has a tooth growing skew inside his gums (not exposed) that has resulted in a maxillary bone infection and a cystic lesion. In addition, he has now developed an active facial abscess. I have been to three specialists who all concur that urgent surgery is required to address the infection and to redirect the tooth, and that this cannot be done in the dentist chair due to the pain and complications of the procedure. They all concur that it must be done under general sedation in hospital. Yet, some pencil pusher at Bonitas who has no clue about the procedure rejects the claim stating it as a general exclusion and that they will only consider it if it were done \under conscious sedation in the rooms". I have discovered that other medical aids (including Discovery and Liberty) approve this treatment under general sedation"
