Bonitas refuses to cover medical expenses

Bonitas Boncap refuses to cover medical expenses for a life threatening operation that I need on both my legs. The veins in my legs have burst and requires urgent surgery. My vascular surgeon booked for surgery at St Augustine Hospital for this Tuesday but had to cancel because Bonitas refused to cover the expenses saying blatantly that this procedure is a scheme exclusion. what the hell. This was not what I expected from Bonitas. This was not in the contract and was definitely not explained to me when I joined Bonitas. My operation costs R40000 and where must I get this type of money from. I'm going to complain to the Medical Schemes Ombudsman. it is my constitutional right to get medical treatment and after all I have a medical aid that must assist me.
