Bonitas refuse crowns after broken teeth in accident trauma

In 2021 I had an accident and broke my jaw in several places. I also lost several teeth in the process and other teeth got damaged severely so that it needs crowns/bridges.

I am allowed to claim one crown per year only so it would take several years to fix it as there are about four severely damaged/broken teeth.

But last year when my dentist try to get authorization for a crown it was rejected by you.

This year he tried again and again it was rejected by you.

The problem is that this is not for cosmetic purposes but fact is because the damage on right teeth I am not able to eat on my right side. I cannot chew with the broken teeth as it is very painful and the teeth can be further damaged. According to my dentist he is able to fix this, but you won't approve.

Now, because of the fact that I can only chew with the left side, the past two years because of you rejecting the authorization, some of the left teeth had unnecessary extra stress and has now started to chip and break. I am also now experiencing pain in those teeth and the teeth gets damaged more and more.

I think it is unfair for you to reject the crown last year and again this year meaning my teeth can't get fixed. And more rapid damage is caused to my healthy teeth because of this.

I just want to submit this review so that other people who is considering Bonitas Standard option is aware that you only get one crown oer year, even if you were in an accident and severel teeth were broken. And worst than that that Bonitas wouldn't even authorize one crown per year even if the teeth was broken due to the severe trauma of a broken upper and lower jaw because of an accident.

I want others to think very well before considering Bonitas because of this. There are other medical aid companies who is more lenient and actually deliver on the allocated benefits and even more in a special occurrence like this.

I am disappointed and in pain when I eat and pieces of my teeth chips off regularly. Thanks to Bonitas refusing me to have even one crown per year.
