Bonitas PMB treatment is a joke.

This medical aid employs people who are poorly trained, rude and cannot answer questions that the member has. A very good example is Mr Rodney Haupt who dealt with my query regarding medication for a PMB. He says that I do not meet clinical criteria but he does not specify what the criteria is and also adds that my option does not cover biologics. Side note, just a week earlier they authorized biologic treatment for my husband who is a dependent on my medical aid. What is worse is that I am paying for medication that should be PMB. My understanding is that if it is not on the formulary, you pay a percentage but no, they refuse to pay anything towards it without valid reason. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with medical aid and I have been on medical aid all my life. This medical aid would rather pay for a joint replacement for me for rheumatoid arthritis, rather than treating the condition by keeping the joint damage under control. Well done Bonitas and then the principal officer, Lee Callakoppen, refuses to deal with you because "there is nothing he can do, because he does not worth with authorizations".
