Bonitas medical pain

I was a member at Bonitas Medical fund at my previous employer. I resigned at the company and moved to their medical aid. I received a statement that showed my membership was terminated 30/04/2021. Since then I receive a statement every month even though if I am not a member anymore. I also received a statement that there is an outstanding amount of R7954,81 and that my details have been handed to the scheme debt collector.

I contacted the broker regarding the outstanding amount. He sent emails to my previous employer and to Bonitas to find out what's going on.

I sent a mail stating that if it is outstanding membership fees they should contact the employer as my premium was deducted from my salary. If it is for outstanding claims they should send me a statement for what it was and where it shows that a claim hasn't been paid and why not. Since March 2022 I received a letter to pay the outstanding amount with no reason for the amount.

I am so sick and tired as there is no feedback whatsoever from Bonitas. At the end I am going to be penalised and have bad credit score for their incompetence. Wish I never joined their medical aid in the first place.
