Bonitas Medical Aid Schemers

Hilariously Horrible Medical Aid provider. Its called a scheme because that is exactly what they do. I've been a member since 2015, but this seems to mean nothing.

I was a victim to a negligent driver, my leg was on the verge of amputation due to this ********** motor vehicle accident , but it was saved. I've had numerous issues with the medical aid in relation to this.

Now more than a year later, I've experienced complications and needed intervention because my bones were not healing. So I return to the orthopedic surgeon who worked on my leg,as he is aware of the complications and has provided services to me since 2020. I sent through pre-authorization, received confirmation of authorization. Then proceeded with surgery. Assuming that everything would be covered by PMB as this was MVA related, the original surgeon that operated on me after the emergency. This surgery was a matter of losing a limb and continuing to live a painful poor quality life or getting better and learning to live again. Low and behold, Bonitas refused to pay.

I pay them thousands of Rands every month and this is what I receive in return. They would prefer me to live as a cripple. Do not opt for this medical scheme. You will bw deeply disappointed.
