BONITAS MEDICAL AID - REFUSAL TO APPROVE PROCEDURE TO PREVENT ANOTHER SPINAL SURGERY

I am very disappointed with Bonitas Medical Aid. I have had 10 back surgeries over a period of time. I am in constant pain and a specialist motivated breast reduction for me to relieve the stress on my spine. I am in constant pain and have difficulty walking. My posture is so bad from my large and heavy breasts that it is causing more damage to my spine which will inevitably end up in another back operation just because Bonitas refuses to give permission for the breast reduction. All the necessary motivations were submitted but it seems that they just dont care about their members. They will rather let me suffer than help me. I am not the only woman member that has experienced the same response from Bonitas. The next step now is to undergo a back operation and I have completed the Bonitas Back and Neck Rehabilitation program which did not improve my pain at all. They will probably find another excuse not to approve that as well but they have no problem in taking my money every month.
