Bonitas medical aid

My dad who is 86 years of age got very sick this morning. We made an appointment at a GP who could see him soonest. Before going to the GP my daughter went to the Bonitas walk - in centre at Flora center to request a card and find out which hospital he could use, should he be admitted as he is on a network plan. They issued a new card but refused to say which hospital he could use as that Info is confidential. What I fail to understand is how that can be deemed confidential when they not giving any of the patient details. All they need to say is on the select option these are the hospitals available. So the GP has him admitted in the nearest hospital and now I get an sms stating that the hospital is not on the network we must pay 30%. The hospital is going an extra mile to find a network hospital that they can transfer him to. This is after he has been admitted into ICU because his oxygen levels are low. I have been sitting here waiting for over 3 hours. All of this anxiety could have been avoided if Bonitas had just given us the list of hospitals. My dad at his age and condition he is in, is unable to get the info himself. Surely giving a new card was more of a confidential issue than a list of network hospitals.
