Bonitas Medical Aid
On 22nd November 2024 after 15h00 my husband was referred by Dr. Brits to Eugene Marais Hospital Trauma unit. The doctor immediately started working on him and send him for several tests. I asked the doctor do they have authorization from Bonitas and she rep**** "This is the Trauma Unit you don't have to worry about it your medical must paid for this". He was omitted reason being Heart failure. On the 26th November one of the staff asked me if I am aware of the fact that Bonitas have decline the authorization on Friday 16h45? I asked why did they not told us - she rep**** because office staff do not work over the weekend. I take my husband home and he passed away on Sunday 1st of December 2024, My daughter phoned Bonitas and they said the will look at the situation but on 22nd Jan 2025 they declined the authorisation.
