Bonitas Medical aid and Pharmacy direct frustrations

I am unable to believe that this medical aid is allowed to have members. The medical aid has failed abysmally to meet any standards apart from what they believe they meet. I was on boarded on to an option that was not discussed with me by anyone since January 2017. This option denies me of the ability to collect my chronic meds except through Pharmacy direct. If Bonitas is a mess administratively, then Pharmacy direct is its older version. Since March 2017 when i was forced to use Pharmacy direct, they have failed to deliver life threatening med at all. I have heard different stories each month and also different stories from different people. Bonitas on its own sends emails of XYZ without bothering if the member understands or not. Does the council for medical schemes not see through these seemingly ***** schemes and ensure they perform what they collect our funds for without fail as it seems that that is the only thing that does not fail at Bonitas and Pharmacy direct?
