BONITAS MEDICAL AID: ALLEGED NON-PAYMENT

I have been a member of this medical aid for many years and have not had much to complain about until now A few weeks ago, I get an email from them telling me I owe them a whopping R29 000. (Do note that their debit order goes off my salary before it is even paid into my account!) I asked them for details about the amount I allegedly owe and they did not answer timeously. I then had my lawyer email them. They did not respond to her. I then called them and was told to email their Financial Dept. My lawyer AGAIN did not get a response. They eventually answered her to say that they are investigating it. This is while they are threatening to revoke my membership and cover! As a result, I do not know if I am covered by them, should I be involved in an accident. This is terrible service and I will be cancelling my membership as soon as I possibly can! They do not even deserve the one star rating I gave them. I am highly disgusted at the way they have handled this and the fact that they deem it lawful to accuse a loyal client of non-payment.
