Bonitas Medical Aid
Bonitas is unreliable when you make manual payments. They may take upto 3 weeks to allocate funds and to lift your suspension when you make EFT payments. You follow up with them and they would send you a confirmation e-mail that they have received your funds and your suspension is lifted. In case of an emergency, you find out when you are in desperate need that they have noted updated your status on the providers systems and they are unable to assist you. I'm a member of Bonitas but would not recommend it to my family and friends.
