Bonitas just stay far away, not worth the pain.

Based on my personal experience with Bonitas Medical Aid, I must say I've been deeply disappointed. Their reputation, as mirrored in many reviews, suggested a lack of reliability, and unfortunately, my encounters confirmed this. I found their approach strikingly similar to the kind of service one might expect from certain government entities - a combination of dishonesty and unhelpfulness that left me frustrated.

A particularly glaring issue was their handling of pre-authorizations. In one instance, despite having a pre-authorization that clearly stated a 0% copayment (R0.00), I was unexpectedly burdened with a significant portion of the costs. Their justification was that the doctor I visited wasn't in their network, which was confusing and frustrating because Bonitas had covered my previous visits to the same doctor. This inconsistency not only caused financial strain but also eroded my trust in Bonitas as a reliable medical aid provider.
