I REGRET and CURSE the day i changed from discovery to BONITAS.

bonitas is the worst medical aid, i don't know whether to call it a medical aid or nonsense. When it comes to deducting their money, trust me they hold the Gold medal, they are the 1st to deduct, but their service is poor , lets say the is no service.

1.You go to the GP, the doctor will be paid after weeks, you will get an email from them telling you that "We have received the following claim/s, which we are busy processing. It is important to note that this e-mail serves only to confirm that we have received your claim. Payment of your claim is dependent upon scheme rules and available benefits." After certain weeks they will pay your GP, mind due the GP admin will keep on calling you that they haven't received your payment. Sometimes they wont pay, you have to pay from your own pocket , then whats the point of having a medical aid???? Mxm

2. Its my second year using this medical aid , can you believe i dont have a medical card, i have been calling askies to get it, their consultants keep on saying it will be send within 14 working days, till now, 🤬 you know how annoying it is to go to the GP with a medical number and having to bring your ID as a proof.. some doctors do not accept that. I my self wouldn't accept that nonsense. 3. I covered my sister and my nephew. Last year my sister was hospitalized. BONITAS didn't pay her medical bill. My sister was discharged early due to unpaid bills, mind due i joined bonitas on 2020 DECEMBER, and my sister was hospitalized on june or july i cant remember, but her bills were not paid. When i called them, they said due to my sister's condition, she is on the waiting period of 1 year🤨 which was never discussed. I had to pay 27 000 for hospital bills plas the doctors and the bloods, and you say you have a medical aid???

3. I am now pregnant, i went to visit a gynaecologist on the 25 of January 2022, they gyna assisted me and referred me to go to "Trirad" for kidneys checkup, and pathcare for blood check up. Ok the tests we done. But can you believe BONITAS didn't pay even a cent. I have been getting emails that i owe Trirad, Pathcare, my Gyna plus the GP who referred me to the gyna. I got emails from bonitas that they RECEIVEd claims and that they are still under review... trust me when i say I am an unhappy client, i can't imagine my entire pragnancy journey, its going to be a very difficult one with this medical aid. I don't want to deliver at the public hospital, i made sure that i have a medical aid because i hate public hospitals.

The problem is that i work under MUNICIPALITY, we are only allowed to change Medical aids on NOVEMBER. I cant wait for this year NOVEMBER so that i can change this nonsense 🤞. My colleagues warned me about bonitas, but i couldn't listen, Each one of them has a different miserable story to tell about Bonitas.

I dont usually get sick . I only uterlized it 4 times last year. But believe me when i say , its a struggle when it comes to them paying the bills. I buy my own medication with my own money, which i never did when i used my previous medical aid (discovery).

I HATE Bonitas with all of my heart. I wouldn't refer anyone to join it. I can only imagine their response, they will say
