BONITAS is not a family medical aid

I submitted an account. It was not paid. I queried why and was informed that the psychologists referral was not attached or at least it required the psychologists practice number on the psychiatrists account. The psychiatrist resubmitted with the correct details still the account is rejected. The goal posts have been moved. Now apparently I needed a doctor a general practitioner to call in to obtain authorisation for a referral. during this COvid period obtaining a GP appointment would have been a lot easier than getting a psychologists appointments so why would I follow the Bonitas consultants advisce and the general practice which is to be referred by a psychologist to a psychiatrist. Bonitas is doing everything to avoid paying claims during this period. The recording of the discussion between the consultant and I will reveal that he advised me that the psychologist referral was required.
