Bonitas is no longer an honourable medical aid

I had an approved laparoscopic procedure on the 20th of October 2021, during the procedure (which is exploratory by nature), it changed. This fund will now only pay +/-R800 of the surgeons +/-R12000 bill. Even though at least R4000 was approved. We have been pushed from pillar to post, noone will inform us what codes need to be submitted. The doctor's rooms have called, we have called, numerous times, our broker has called, but we keep getting fobbed off and of course have to start the query with someone new each time. We have been loyal customers for 10 years and have found this year the service has been shocking. Comments from medical professionals say the same, Bonitas is no longer a medical aid worth being a member of.
