Bonitas: *********** and Useless business

Incompentence and horrible at all levels. Joined 1st April, received email to say i am suspended end of May. I called the call center and was told i did not pay my premiums, i asked them to read out my bank details and was told "Oh we dont have a bank account for you" I immediately flew my wife out of SA because she is a EU national and due to the suspension from Bonitas she had no medical aid cover. This meant she had to stop her business which she setup in Joburg.

Bonitas were extremely unhelpful and a total embarrassment for South Africa as a country, they somehow did not setup my bank account and did not run a direct debit and then suspended me. My German in laws could not believe the incompetence from Bonitas and every day keep asking how can such a company take on a customer but not setup their bank account details and then suspend them.

I sent so many emails to Bonitas and had to go to a walk in center in Belville to get help. Nobody wants to own up and explain what happened and i was told to pay 3 months premiums at once to lift the suspension? I paid the premiums and still had no communication from Bonitas. They just ignored me and my situation.

I have asked to speak to the head of customer services and the blundering buffoon who is the head of IT architecture to ask them how could they design such a stupid system which accepts a customer, does not input the customer bank account, then suspends the customer and then ignores the customer.

They are a horrible company and have 3rd world trash systems behind the scenes along with no ownership and accountability at management level.

My wife is still in Germany and i dont have any formal communication from Bonitas as to when the suspension is lifted. This is an utter embarrassment for South Africa in general.

They have caused me so much suffering and just ignore my emails and till today have not responded to my requests.

Dont ever join them, they are a joke of a company and an embarrassment to South Africa. Worst than the Proteas and Bafana combined.
