Bonitas’ Failure to Provide My Medical Tax Certificate Has Now Cost Me Financially

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Bonitas. For weeks I tried to obtain my Medical Tax Certificate, calling numerous times and waiting over 30 minutes each time before anyone answered. When I finally reached an agent, I was placed on hold for another 30 minutes and then the call was cut.

During this period, I also sent multiple emails which went unanswered. When I eventually received a response, I was told that due to the merger with Momentum, Bonitas “lost” my tax certificate and cannot retrieve it.

This is completely unacceptable. SARS is now requesting the certificate and, because Bonitas cannot provide it, I am being penalised and expected to pay additional tax. Why must I suffer financial consequences because Bonitas failed to do their job and maintain proper records?

Bonitas’ lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to provide essential documentation has caused me unnecessary stress and financial loss. I expect Bonitas to resolve this urgently and provide a solution, as this situation is entirely due to their negligence.
