Bonitas Don't Care

No words to explain how disgusted I am in the pathetic service received from Bonitas, my parents are pensioners who are on the Bonitas Boncap Plan. When joining the plan a year ago they were told that there is a 12 month waiting period for pre existing conditions which is understandable, my father was referred to a Opt****logist by his GP due to him loosing sight in his eye after I called the Bonitas call centre to confirm that they will cover for his visit to the specialist my father went to see the specialist where no procedures were performed just a mere check up, the specialist then sent his claim through to Bonitas where it was declined. It is now January and my parents monthly contribution was adjusted to the highest paying bracket without them having any knowledge there of, my mother went to see a GP not to long ago as she was ill only to find out that the medical aid has been suspended. We went to see a representative at a Bonitas walk in centre where we were informed that my parents received a letter via post last year October (2019) which was supposed to be completed by them and returned back to bonitas confirming that they are still pensioners however my parents never received that letter and was not aware of their monthly contribution being adjusted to more than double their usual monthly contribution and they did not even receive as much as a courtesy call as a follow up, we have now received the form from the representative, completed it and handed it in. The problem we are now sitting with is that they are adjusting the monthly contribution back to the lower income bracket for February but according to the representative it cannot be done for January which I feel is unacceptable, how the hell do they expect pensioners to pay so much money and it is only right that the payment gets adjusted as of January.

My parents never received this letter from Bonitas via the post therefore they cannot be held liable to make this payment of more than double their usual monthly contribution after all they are just pensioners who cannot afford to pay this much money Bonitas is out to ******* this pensioners and I feel they should seriously be looking at moving elsewhere where they will be given the respect they deserve.
