Bonitas deserves 0 stars if that was an option, lack of empathy

My father, the main member, sadly passed away on 6 August. We were advised that my sister could take over the membership so there would be no break in cover for my siblings, who are both chronic patients.

We submitted the completed application on 25 August and even received Query No. *** on 28 August. After that, Bonitas provided no further communication.

When I called on 1 September, because the cover was meant to start that day, I was shocked to learn that the application had not even been captured. No progress had been made by Bonitas and had to resend the application their affiliate, Ask Us Business Solutions.

Today, consultant John Hlalethwa was the first person who actually tried to process an application that Bonitas has been sitting on for 8 days.

To make matters worse, we were told it will take another 72 hours to process by another rude lady who took a phone from John when we were following up again. My sister has a kidney dialysis session on 4 September a life-sustaining treatment she needs twice a week to stay alive. Because of Bonitas' administrative failure, my sister and brother are now expected to risk going without treatment .

This lack of urgency, empathy and accountability is unacceptable, especially while our family is grieving the loss of our father.
