Bonitas ***** fund

Called last year October or Nov when I saw I only had 1 maternity benefit left to ask if I would have to pay cash for gynea visits when the maternity benefits were finished and was told NO, gynea is a specialist therefor it will come out of the day-to-day benefits. Fast forward to 1week before my due date and I get a wopping bill from the gynea with an outstabnding amount. I ask Bonitas whats happening and first they confirmed that it is so that it was supposed to be paid from my day-to-day benefits and they asked for a call reference or date of the call then when I said i dont have,all of a sudden they dont cover ante natal visits after the maternity benefits are depleted.

Secondly_ With both my gynea and midwife visits after I gave birth they minus from the day-to-day benefits instead of post natal visits. When inquiring about this I got NO response at all.

They always say calls are recorded blah blah blah yet cant investigate when they are at fault. Medical aid ombuds must do something about these lies we're paying for!
