BONITAS BONCAP - USELESS MEDICAL AID. THEY DON'T CARE ONE IOTA ABOUT THEIR MEMBERS. THEYA RE JSUT IN IT FOR THE MONEY. GATVOL!!!!

RE: Member ***

PLEASE SEE BELOW MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM BONITAS TO OUR ONGOING SAGA IN TRYING TO OBTAIN A SPECIALIST'S REFERRAL NUMBER FROM THEM FOR MY WIFE THEY DONT CARE AND THAT IS THE TRUTH. AM SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO CONSTANTLY BEG THEM FOR SOMETHING WE PAY THEM FOR. THEY ARE USELESS AND DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THEIR MEMBERS - ALL THEY WANT IS THEIR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEE. GATVOL WITH THEM AND THEIR BS

Please note that the referral letter from my wife's GP and the Boncap Specialist Referrals application have been sent through to the Specialist Referrals Department more times than we can count. I have attached these letters to this email for your edification yet again. Both my wife and her GP have sent these though to the Specialist Referrals department. The only response we ever get is a useless automatically generated reference number.

This has been going on for 10 working days and still we have not obtained the authorisation number. My wife has spent close to R500 in airtime contacting your call centre, sending documents via email from her phone etc. all to no avail. As indigent SASSA pensioners who can only afford medical aid because thankfully our son pays for our membership, we CANNOT afford R500 in airtime only to achieve absolutely nothing.

Your call centre staff are extremely rude and abrupt. On 3 occasions when the phone has been answered and my wife has politely asked to whom she is speaking the phone has been put down. At other times when asking exactly what we can do to obtain this authorisation number as speedily as possible the explanations have not been clear or consistent.

What should be a simple matter has become a bureaucratic red tape nightmare. The excuse of glitches occurring due to changing administrators from Medscheme to Momentum has worn very thin just like our patience has.

My wife is in constant pain and needs to see Dr. Tsama asap to resolve this issue asap. Kindly liaise with your Specialist Referrals Department and forward the authoristation letter forthwith. We pay Boncap for a service which we are definitely NOT getting and if this is indicative of how Bonitas moves forward then I'm sorry to say that I can see many of your clients moving their medical aid needs elsewhere.
