Bonitas Boncap

If you are getting medical aid for the fist time, or if you are just unsure about medical aid as a whole, DO NOT make the mistake of joining Bonitas (Boncap in particular). Give yourself peace of mind and first explore other options, or get medical insurance which will offer roughly the same benefits for a cheap price, and should you make the decision to go with them the I advise that you get gap cover(a must have). I have had the worst experience with them and I have been paying for my own bills, out of my own pockets, for things I know that I have cover for, and at the time of joining the medical aid I did not know much about what I'm getting myself into (very long story for another day). I have had it with bills piling up all because Bonitas says they do not cover it, and I haven't been able to get any of the meds that are supposed to technically save my life because of the exact same reason. They only paid for GP visits and 1 dental consultation, and that wasn't not even the whole bill that was paid for. There is a lot but I will have to leave it at that. Bonitas isn't the option you want to take unless you are stranded or you are rich, which will then allow you to explore other options that cover everything.
