Bonitas about turn.

I have been on Bonitas for almost a decade (by default as they took over Liberty clients - Liberty was awesome: bi-annual calls re my cardio, empathtic, proactive, involved with their members, facilitating check-ups - not so Bonitas) Early August I feared a heart attack, all the warning signs were there. I contacted Bonitas requesting the plan previously in place with Liberty. On 10th August I was delighted to be contacted by a nurse from Bonitas that a care plan had been formulated and approved - she was very concerned and called THREE times to discuss, explain and encourage check-ups. It covers cardiologists and pathology. The care plan states implicitly: "Your scheme WILL P A Y for diagnosis, treatment and care" and "Your scheme WILL COVER the cost of treatment" Now the scheme is rejecting the claims! It beggars belief that they now renege on their commitment! Surely, PREVENTION is always better than cure! Bonitas will NOT pay for preventitive treatment @ approx R8000 but Bonitas WILL PAY for hospitalisation @ approx R500,000! Please, Bonitas, explain the rationale!
