Bonitas: 3 Months of Contradictory Information and Still No Resolution Regarding My Pregnancy

I am posting again because my previous complaint has still not resulted in a proper resolution. I joined Bonitas on 1 June 2026 and contacted Bonitas on 2 June 2026 to register my pregnancy. At the time I joined, I genuinely did not know that I was pregnant. I am now approximately 6½ months pregnant. Over the past three months I have repeatedly contacted Bonitas regarding my pregnancy. I was given confirmation/understanding that my pregnancy was recognised and my pregnancy-related consultations, scans and blood tests were processed. However, now that my gynaecologist needs to obtain pre-authorisation for my delivery/hospital admission, I am suddenly being told that my delivery is subject to a 12-month waiting period. I have repeatedly asked Bonitas to explain this situation, but I continue to be transferred between departments and given different answers. I was recently told that I must phone again and speak to a manager, but even getting through to a manager has become extremely difficult. I have also been told that Bonitas tried to contact me, yet I have received no calls from Bonitas. I have received emails telling me to phone them, but no telephone call resolving the matter. I have already submitted a formal complaint and waited approximately a month for a response. I am now exhausted from repeatedly having to explain the same situation while pregnant. I am asking Bonitas publicly for a clear answer: If a 12-month waiting period applies to my delivery, when and how was this explained to me when I joined? Why was my pregnancy registered and pregnancy-related care processed, only for my delivery pre-authorisation to now become a problem? I am also being asked to provide proof from my doctor regarding whether I knew I was pregnant before joining. I genuinely did not know. My doctor may be able to establish when the pregnancy began, but that does not establish when I became aware of the pregnancy. I am not asking for another department to contact me and start the process again. I am asking for a manager/senior representative to review the complete history of my case and provide me with one clear written answer regarding my maternity and delivery cover. This has caused me significant stress, emotional distress, wasted time and unnecessary expense during my pregnancy. Bonitas, please take ownership of this matter and resolve it. I should not have to keep chasing you for clarity about my own maternity benefits.
