Boitas gives false hope that they will pay for a specialist on their network when in fact they won't pay!

Very poor and disgusting lack of service from a highly uncaring "Medical Aid". I was given an authorization number for a specialist referral. At no point did the email from Bonitas state I was out of funds and they wouldn't pay anything. It is their duty to inform the member they are out of funds ad not just give out an authorization number, which then gives the member false hope that The Specialist on their network would be covered. They are utterly *********** and put the blame on me and come back with the same BS reply that a authorization doesn't mean it will be paid. Well then DON"T give an authorization in the first place it's not difficult. I will be moving medical aid I do not wish to be with an uncaring medical aid that puts the blame on the member and Management isn't even willing to assist. Clearly Management gets paid to do nothing! ***

No the matter has not been resolved!!! I was given an authorization number so therefore payment should have been made. If there are no funds it's your duty to inform me there are no funds so I can then decide if I want to go to the specialist or not. You gave me false hope by giving me an authorization number and I therefore obviously thought it would be paid. Why give out an authorization number if you're not going to pay? This is simply pure incompetence and poor member service. You should be paying as I was given an authorization number and not informed that funds were finished.
