I consulted earlier this week as I urgently needed medical help, when the doctor submitted a claim to Bonitas the claim was rejected and Bonitas advised that it was rejected because the GP consulted is not a nominated GP. how absurd is this, there are funds and Bonitas refuses to pay because I used a different doctor even though they don't charge above the normal rate with other Medical schemes you would be required to pay a shortfall if the doctor charges above the normal tariff rate. I am warning everyone out there - this is really ridiculous - I have funds but I am forced to pay from my pocket because I used a different doctor because they open earlier than the nominated doctor.

There are multiple healthcare providers calling regarding the same issue (Bonitas not paying them even when funds are available) - this to me appears as if Bonitas is trying to save so that they can report exhobitants profits for 2024 - but the sad part is that we pay monthly fees to these scheme - this is day light roberry - ****MERS - I am in the process of looking for another medical aid - folks becareful of Bonitas - imagine I have 3 members covered under this plan and to be told that I have to pay from my pocket in addition to the payments I make every month to Bonitas - this is just ******* and a disservice to customers.

PLEASE BE WARNED - YOU WOULD RATHER GET A REPUTABLE MEDICAL AID SCHEME THAN THIS!!!

WORSE THEY DON"T EVEN CALL TO TRY RESOLVE SUCH ISSUES WHEN YOU LOG A COMPAIN, I WILL TRY LODGING A DISPUTE WITH THE COUNCIL FOR MEDICAL SCHEMES HOPEFULLY I SHOULD GET HELP.
