Back brace not paid

On the 07th October I went for a back operation. I received a back brace from one of the orthorpedic places to wear after my op. Today I get a statement saying that the medical aid did not pay the brace. Is this my problem that the brace they gave me is not covered according to the scheme. Why cant you pay what is covered and I can cover the rest. I have enough stress of healing from a back operation now I must stress about bills as well whilst we have medical aid and we pay a hell of a lot of money. This is not the first time Bonitas is doing this. Last year I had to pay almost R14000 cash because of the medical aid that does not cover certain things. I feel like we as members should be informed correctly as to what we can take and what not. This is wrong on so many levels. How do I recover with stress. I am waiting for more bills that was not paid because I know its coming. I will probably end up in hospital again for stress. Please can you pay what needs to be paid. Pay the amount that you cover for back braces. This is one of the main reasons I did not want to be operated because I knew there was going to be Bills I need to pay but we have medical Aid. I am so frustrated. How should I have known which brace the medical aid covers and which ones not.....
